Performance and professional standards panel
Jurisdiction: Victoria Date of Decision: 24 March 2023
Documentation - Health record - Delay or failure to provide / Communication - Failure to record/convey/respond to messages
The Board referred allegations that the Practitioner delayed completion of assessment reports, failed to provide assessment reports to clients, had poor communication with clients, and held out as having an endorsement in neuropsychology. All allegations were found (with admissions from the Practitioner), with the holding out issue found to be unprofessional conduct. The Panel judged this matter very close to professional misconduct.
A reprimand and conditions were imposed: 30 hours of education, 2 years of graduated supervision with a clinical psychologist independent of the Practitioner's place of practice.
