Former registered health practitioners who have had their registration cancelled by a court or tribunal and/or, been disqualified from applying for registration by a court or tribunal, since 1 July 2010, appear on the register of cancelled and/or prohibited health practitioners.

From 1 March 2018 the register of cancelled and/or prohibited health practitioners has been expanded to include former registered health practitioners who have been prohibited from providing health services or using a title.
There are circumstances where a practitioner will not appear on the register of cancelled and/or prohibited health. If a cancelled or disqualified practitioner is re-registered by a National Board at a later date, that practitioner’s name will be added to the Register of practitioners and removed from the Register of cancelled and/or prohibited health practitioners.
