Statement from AHPRA
Western Australia (WA) has not yet joined the national scheme but is expected to do so soon.
If you are already registered in WA, and were registered in another State or Territory on 30 June 2010, then you will have transitioned to the national scheme. Until WA joins the national scheme, you will need to maintain both WA and national registration in order to continue to practice in WA and elsewhere in Australia.
However, if you are currently only registered in WA, and wish to begin practising in another State or Territory, you will need to apply for registration with the National Scheme under mutual recognition.
Forms for this purpose are now available in the Forms section of each National Board website. No application fee will be charged but a pro-rata registration fee will be payable.
