Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representatives: Help eliminate racism in health regulation
Are you an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with experience addressing racism and a commitment to cultural safety?
The National Scheme has an important role in ensuring the development of a culturally safe and respectful health workforce that is responsive to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples health and contributes to the elimination of racism in the provision of health services.
The Racism-related Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Special Issues Committee plays a vital role in ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices and authority shape how racism-related concerns within Ahpra are heard and addressed. This work is central to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Anti-Racism Policy and to our commitment to cultural safety, self-determination, and eliminating racism in the provision and regulation of health services.
