Call for applications for appointment to the Australian Capital Territory Board of the Medical Board of Australia.

Applications are now sought from experienced registered medical practitioners from the Australian Capital Territory for appointment to the Australian Capital Territory Board of the Medical Board of Australia.

Australian Capital Territory board appointments are made by the ACT Minister for Health under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2010. This appointment is for up to three years, with eligibility for reappointment, and is expected to commence in early 2015.

State and territory boards and committees exercise their functions in the jurisdiction to provide an effective and timely local response to health practitioners and other persons.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) supports the 14 National Boards in their primary role of protecting the public. AHPRA manages the registration and notification handling processes for health practitioners and students across Australia.

For more information on the role and the application process, please download the application guide and application forms above. Please ensure that all forms are completed and signed.
