Frequently asked questions
On this page:
Can someone else fill out and send in my application?
No. You must complete your application for registration because you give consent for AHPRA to conduct a criminal history check. You also declare that the supplied information is true and correct. An application completed by someone else other than you will not be accepted by AHPRA. However, payment of the application fee can be made by someone else.
Where do I send my application and/or supporting documents?
Please mail your supporting documents with your Next Steps Checklist Email printed out as the cover sheet (online applications) or with your hard copy application form to the AHPRA Registration Team for your profession at GPO Box 9958 in the capital city of the State or Territory in which you completed your course. Our full mailing addresses are available on the Contact us page.
Can I go to an AHPRA office to lodge my application?
Whether you have applied online or using a downloaded hard copy application form, all applications require some documents to be sent to AHPRA by mail. If you cannot send your application and/or supporting documents by mail you can lodge them in person at the AHPRA office in the State or Territory in which you completed your course.
Our office addresses are available on the Contact us page. Please note that lodging your application and/or supporting documents in person will not speed up the application assessment process. The best way to lodge your application and/or supporting documents is by mail.
What if I have moved to a different State or Territory since completing my course?
Please ensure that you mail your application and/or supporting documentation to AHPRA in the State or Territory in which you completed your course. Sending your application and/or supporting documentation to a different State or Territory will cause a delay in processing your application.
