We understand that being the subject of a complaint can be stressful. To help you we have published a list of support services below.
Doctors and medical students in all states and territories can access help and support through a national network of doctors’ health advisory and referral services.
The services are coordinated by Doctors’ Health Services Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Australian Medical Association (AMA), and funded by the Medical Board of Australia. The partnership with the AMA enables the health programs to be administered at arms’ length from the Board and AHPRA.

Nurse & Midwife Support is a national independent support service for nurses, midwives and students of nursing and midwifery experiencing health issues.
The Pharmacists Support Service (PSS) works on the principle of pharmacists supporting pharmacists. It is a service that aims to provide phone support to pharmacists and pharmacy interns and students. It is a service that is completely independent of the National Board and AHPRA and the volunteers who take the calls are all pharmacists who are trained in how to support their colleagues.
