Disciplinary Matters

Chiropractic and Osteopathy Board of South Australia

The following are Decisions (full or abridged at the Board's discretion) of the Board in relation to disciplinary inquiries and fitness to practice held since 1990.

From April 2006 (to 30 June 2010), decisions of the Board in relation to disciplinary matters have been published as follows:

  • Reprimanded or Censured - decisions will include the practitioner's or service provider's name, for a period of one year. The names of notifiers and witnesses will not be published. After the period of one year has lapsed, all identifiers will be removed and the anonymous decision will remain on the website.
  • Suspension of Registration/Prohibition Orders - decisions will include the practitioner's or service provider's name, for a period of two years. The names of notifiers and witnesses will not be published. After the period of two years has lapsed, all identifiers will be removed and the anonymous decision will remain on the website.
  • Cancellation of Registration - decisions will include the practitioner's name, for a period of five years. The names of notifiers and witnesses will not be published. After the period of five years has lapsed, all identifiers will be removed and the anonymous decision will remain on the website.

This policy does not apply to decisions in relation to medical fitness of a practitioner. These decisions are published without identifiers, however names will appear on the "Suspension/Conditions" page if suspended, cancelled or conditions placed on registration.

All decisions of the Board in disciplinary matters prior to April 2006 are published without identifiers.
